Working principle and process

1. Scope of application


First of all, it must meet the basic operation requirements of plastic drying, including good material handling (feeding, transportation, hot air, heat transfer, discharge, etc.), and must meet the drying effect, product quality and drying speed.


2. Mode of operation


The operation method is simple and easy to learn, avoiding tedious settings, so as not to delay the time and cost of training technicians.


3. Simple structure


The structure of the dryer must be simple, and accessories also need to be easily replaced and purchased.


4. Drying temperature


Drying temperature refers to the temperature of the air entering the drying barrel. Due to its physical properties, such as molecular structure, specific gravity, specific heat and moisture content, each raw material has certain restrictions during the drying process. When the temperature is too high, it will cause some additives to volatilize or agglomerate, and when the temperature is too low, some crystal raw materials cannot reach the required drying conditions.


5. Drying time


The drying time refers to the pre-drying time before the raw material is formed. If the drying time is too long, the raw materials will deteriorate, agglomerate or waste energy. If the drying time is too short, the moisture content will be too high.


6. Air volume


It can be said that the air volume represents the dehumidification capacity of the desiccant dryer. Because the air volume is the only medium that takes water away from the raw materials, the air volume will directly affect the quality of the dehumidification effect. If the air volume is too high, the return air temperature will be too high, which will cause overheating and affect the stability of the dew point; if the air volume is too small, the moisture in the raw material will not be completely removed.


7. Dew point temperature


The dew point temperature refers to the temperature at which the gas is cooled to condense the moisture contained in the water droplets, and it is a unit for measuring the dryness (humidity) of the gas. The less water in the gas, the lower the dew point temperature. A good dryer dew point should be able to reach a dew point temperature of -40°C.
